The advantage of this method is that products are sprayed from above, helping trees absorb them evenly and sufficiently, reducing labor and toxicity to lychee growers.
The provincial Plant Protection Sub-department has tested the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to spray plant protection products on one hectare of thieu lychee of the main crop in Thanh Thuy commune (Thanh Ha).
Farmers were assisted with spraying by the sub-department and part of the cost of the plant protection products by the provincial authorities.
Each aerial vehicle was equipped with a container of 16l of products for each spraying time. One hectare was sprayed four times within 10 minutes (excluding the time required to prepare products and start vehicles).
Its advantage is that products are sprayed from above, helping trees absorb them evenly and sufficiently, reducing labor and toxicity to lychee growers.
This May and June, the provincial Plant Protection Sub-department will spray plant protection products on 30 other hectares in export lychee regions in Thanh Ha with this method./. HaiDuongnews
